After a five year gap, Act 1 returned to its original home at St Paul's Church, Withington. The arrival of Rev. Sandra Woodhead, who is keen to promote high standards of music and theatre in Withington, and within St Paul's in particular, heralded the start of a new era for Act 1. The decision was taken to adopt the church as the regular venue for Act 1 shows, rather than a one-off as "Joseph" was originally intended to be, and to take a much more structured approach to productions with full scale staging, lighting and sound rigs brought in to literally transform the building into a large theatre auditorium.
The company began its new run of productions with "Scene Together, a compilation of song and dance from some of the best loved West End and Broadway hits, including Chicago, Les Mis, Evita and Oliver. |
